ELKHART — Dillard Maxwell Wright, 84, of Elkhart, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.

Dillard was born on Jan. 29, 1928, in Parkersburg, W.Va., to Howard and Iva Wright.

He is survived by seven children, Earl Clark (Geraldine) Wright, John Wright, Donald (Kathy) Wright, Esther (Eldon) Bradley, Kevin Wright, Ronald (Lori) Wright and Shane (Cheryl)Wright. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Wright on Oct. 15, 2009; and a daughter, Reba Wright, in 1971.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1947.

There are no services. Cremation has taken place.

Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, is handling arrangements.
