ELKHART — Joseph R. Jelovich Jr., 98, of Elkhart, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Morning View Assisted Living in South Bend.

He was born on Jan. 2, 1914, in Madison, Pa., to Joseph Sr. and Nadalia Jelovich.

He married Daisie Irene Robertson on Sept. 9, 1940, in Burgettstown, Pa. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Terry Marcott of Elkhart; two sons, Kerry Jelovich and Carl Raymond Jelovich; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, with Father Bill Sullivan of St. Thomas Catholic Church officiating.

Mr. Jelovich worked as a maintenance mechanic at Climax Molybender in Langeloth, Pa.

He was a member of SNPJ and American Legion.
