Goshen police searching for suspect in October shooting

GOSHEN — The Goshen Police Department is asking for the public to help identify suspects in an October shooting near Riverside Blvd. and Clinton St.

Michael Edwards, 44, was shot at his home at 1310 W. Clinton St. on Oct. 5. Police and paramedics arrived to find Edwards on his back suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Edwards said he was in his yard when he was approached by a dark-skinned black male between 15 and 22. Edwards described the male as 5 feet 10 inches tall, slender and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans. He said that the male may have been attempting to rob him when he was shot.

No suspects have been found at this time.
