A Three Rivers man was arrested on several charges after he fled police and crashed his vehicle late Friday night, according to Edwardsburg Police Department.

The 32-year old man was preliminarily charged with fleeing and eluding police, resisting and obstructing police, operating while intoxicated 3rd offense and driving with a suspended license.

An officer attempted to pull the motorist over after observing a traffic violation, but the driver led police on a short pursuit before driving off the road near the intersection of Section and Max streets and striking several boulders. He tried to run from the scene, but was quickly detained by police, the report said.
