BRISTOL — William “Bill” and Linda (Rodino) Hixon are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this month.

They were married Dec. 29, 1972, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Elkhart.

They are celebrating with a Mass at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Bristol and a family dinner later in the evening. A vacation is planned for the summer.

Mr. Hixon is retired from the Goshen Police Department and from Culligan as a sales representative. Mrs. Rodino retired after 40 years as a teacher at St. Thomas in Elkhart and principal of St. Bavo’s in Mishawaka.

Their children are Bill (Karena) Hixon of Goshen, Thomas (Carly) Hixon of South Bend and Melinda (Michael Stallings) Hixon of Elkhart.

Their grandchildren are Brayden, Brielle and Brynne Hixon of Goshen, Brooke, Thomas and Ashton Hixon of Granger, and Michael, Devon and Cameron Stallings of Elkhart.
