WATERVLIET, Mich. — Sarah Byron and Mark Durst were married Sept. 16, 2012, at Millcreek Barn in Watervliet by the Rev. John Samples.

The bride’s parents are Jim and Pam Byron of Elkhart, Ind. The groom’s parents are Steve and Barb Durst of Ballwin, Mo.

Jessica and Rachel Byron, the bride’s sisters of San Francisco, were maids of honor. Jessica Davis of Perth, Australia, was matron of honor. Clare Byron, the bride’s niece of Edwardsburg, was flower girl.

Jerry Chien of San Francisco was best man. Michael Byron, the bride’s brother of Edwardsburg, and John Kolacynski of Chicago were groomsmen.

The bride wore her mother’s veil and also carried her grandma Gryp’s ring in her bouquet.

The reception was after the ceremony at Millcreek Barn. The couple honeymooned in Thailand and live in San Francisco.

The couple met during an art event when living in Laguna Beach, Calif. The groom proposed after they finished a half-marathon race in Kauai, Hawaii.
