ELKHART — A snowfall that is not expecting to accumulate much has caused a few road accidents since it started this morning, Dec. 28.

According to the National Weather Service, a band of moderate snow is moving across northern Indiana, with accumulations of one to two inches expected by the early afternoon. Snow is expected to continue falling mostly before 3 p.m.

During this time, visibilities may be reduced to a mile or less in some locations. People are asked to use caution when driving on untreated roads.

So far, about eight accidents have been reported throughout Elkhart County, including the city, and none of them have been serious or have involved personal injury according to Elkhart County and City dispatch centers.
