The city of Elkhart’s Christmas tree collection will begin Monday.

Residents can either place trees on the curb on the day of their regular trash collection or use one of four collection sites.

The four locations are West Side Middle School parking lot on Nappanee Street; North Side Middle School parking lot near the tracks on Bristol Street; Riverview softball field on Riverview Avenue near the school or the Pierre Moran Pool parking lot behind the school on Lusher Avenue.

All ornaments, lights and other objects should be removed from the trees.
