Car missing from dead woman’s home has been found

ELKHART — Police have found a car missing from the home of a homicide victim, according to a press release today, Dec. 23, from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities have not disclosed where the four-door blue 1988 Chevrolet Lumina.

The car had been sought since Friday afternoon, when Norma J. Hopper, 76, was found dead at her home at 54640 Michael Drive.

On Saturday, police said Hopper’s death had been ruled a homicide.

Sunday’s press release thanked the public and news media for its help in searching for the vehicle but did not reveal further details on the status of the investigation.
