MIDDLEBURY — Samantha Coulter and David Shapiro were married July 21, 2012, at Pathway Assembly of God in Middlebury by Pastor Matthew Holloway.

The bride’s parents are Cary and Christie Coulter of Middlebury. The groom’s parents are Randy and Lori Green of Elkhart.

Kaytlynn and Taylor Coulter, the bride’s sisters of Middlebury, were maids of honor. Deborah Scieniak and Rebecca Griffin were bridesmaids. Ashlynn Baxter and Selah Johnson, the groom’s nieces, were flower girls.

Josh Shapiro, the groom’s brother, was best man. Jacob Bowers, the groom’s brother-in-law, Brannon Griffin and Evan Stark were groomsmen. LaTrell Vaughn, the groom’s nephew, was ring bearer.

Gabriel Green, the groom’s brother, Adam and Isaac Keller, cousins of the groom, and Sidney Beck were ushers.

The reception was at Maple Crest Country Club following the ceremony and the couple honeymooned in Marco Island, Fla.

The couple met at Pathway Assembly of God in middle school. They started dating in 2009 and were engaged two years later. The groom took the bride engagement ring shopping without her knowing that he had a ring. He took her putt putt golfing, where he proposed at the last hole with their families waiting.
