Andrea Modglin of River Pointe Surgery Center, 500 Arcade Ave., has being honored with The DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses, part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize extraordinary efforts nurses perform every day.

Modglin was nominated by her patients and peers for her ability to go above and beyond expectations, putting patients and their family members at ease, and maintaining a calm, caring and attentive presence.

The management team at the not-for-profit DAISY Foundation in Glen Ellen, Calif., will select a nurse to receive The DAISY Award each year.
