Peoples forum: Thoughts on Israel, Godless liberals
No. 1. So what if 60 or 70 Jewish enthusiasts write about their people and land (which Israel essentially stole, first from the Canaanites, then from the Palestinians in 1948), and mention Israel, Jerusalem, God of Israel, etc., hundreds of times in their stories? Does volume guarantee truth?
No. 2. If Jesus is born of a virgin (and Holy Spirit), then all reference to Jesus’ genealogy in relation to Abraham and Mary is irrelevant. If Jesus was spawned of the Holy Spirit, then how can Jesus be a Jew, unless God and Holy Spirit are both Jews too?
No. 3. Why make Satan blameworthy for killing God’s children? God kills as many and more indiscriminately — slaughtering whole populations of innocent women, children, believers, homeless and helpless.
No. 4. Consider the last 30 years of tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes in Indonesia, Japan, Haiti, the Philippines, Pakistan and Bangladesh, and hurricanes from Louisiana to New York, leaving shambles, despair and millions dead.
No. 5. Honestly, were they all deserving of such inconceivable horror — not by Satan’s wiles, mind you, but by the whim of this god you worship?
As for the blather about “Godless liberals,” some questions:
No. 1. Is it not sobering that the authors assume the voice in the night is God’s, directing them to bad-mouth “Godless liberals”?
No. 2. What about those who prayed ceaselessly while spewing sanctimonious religiosity against liberal candidates in the last election?
No. 3. To rephrase their question: What if the Godless liberals prove right after all?
