A man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and precursors to manufacture meth Thursday evening.

Bobby Gene Pierce, 47, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on a warrant for a probation violation on the 2300 block of Morton of Avenue.

Pierce, whose address is listed as 24646 Melrose Place, Elkhart, was found with meth paraphernalia, Suboxone pills, syringes and two plastic baggies with what appeared to be methamphetamine.

He was arrested for possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance and unlawful possession of a syringe. No formal charges have been filed.

He was booked in the Elkhart County Jail without a bond.
