Unfortunately for the Blue Blazers, that was the highlight of the night, as the Crimson Chargers stormed back to beat their crosstown rivals 46-26 in non-conference play on Wednesday.
Despite the slow start, Memorial grabbed a 26-19 lead at halftime and held Central to just five points in the middle two quarters.
Khadijah Moore had a big night for the Chargers, scoring 23 points — 12 in the second quarter — and grabbing 11 rebounds while Victoria Kyle chipped in nine points and six steals.
Khyana Sanders topped the Blue Blazers with eight points.
Memorial improved to 6-2 on the year, while Central fell to 2-10.
