Donnelly, Walorski assigned to committees
Donnelly will serve on the Armed Services, Agriculture and Aging committees, he said in a press release Wednesday.
“I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve the diverse needs of Hoosiers, especially our men and women in uniform, agricultural community and seniors,” Donnelly, D-Granger, said in a press release. Donnelly won election to the Senate last November and is finishing up his term as Indiana’s 2nd District representative in the U.S. House.
Walorski, elected to the 2nd District U.S. House post last month, received her first committee appointment, to the House Armed Services Committee. In announcing the appointment, she alluded to the military connections in the 2nd District.
“Ranging from the pivotal services of Grissom Air Reserve Base to the robust operations of AM General, it is clear that our district is an integral part of our armed forces,” said Walorski, a Republican from the Jimtown area. Other committee assignments for Walorski are anticipated in coming weeks.
