Motorists on U.S. 20 in eastern Elkhart County will face intermittent lane restrictions this week.

Maintenance work started Wednesday on the easbound section of U.S. 20 between S.R. 15 and S.R. 13, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation. As part of the work, to be done by the end of the day Friday, the road will be restricted to a single lane of traffic in alternating directions at times, controlled by flaggers.

“This is a continuously slow-moving operation with a 12-foot width limit,” INDOT said in a press release.
