The Elkhart Civic Theatre is holding auditions for the regional premier of “9 to 5: The Musical” at 3 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Tuesday at The Bristol Opera House.

Needed are four principal women ages 25 to 55, two principal men ages 30 to 55, one teen boy age 16 to 19, one older man age 55 to 70, and a chorus of six women and six men.

The movie and Broadway production, with songs by Dolly Parton, features three women who hold their boss captive and try to run the office with new policies while keeping the staff unaware of his absence.

Auditions consist of learning a portion of song from the show and a short dance sequence with readings from the script. Newcomers and veterans of past shows are welcome to audition. Those auditioning should bring a complete list of all conflicts from Dec. 20 through March 23, 2013.

Rehearsals begin in early January. Performance dates are March 8, 9, 15, 16, 17, 22 and 23, 2013.
