EGH offering Cardiac Life Support course on Thursday, Friday
The two-day course will cover how to evaluate and manage an adult cardiac arrest and other acute cardiopulmonary emergencies by integrating critical BLS skills with ACLS interventions.
Simulated clinical scenarios and hands-on learning stations will involve the 10 ACLS core cases and treatment algorithms. The program is intended for physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, advanced level EMS providers and any health care provider responsible for emergency cardiac care.
Fees are $100 for affiliated providers and EGH employees and $125 for non-EGH affiliated providers. It is open to the public.
