ELKHART — Wayne E. Wise, 85, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at his home.

He was born Nov. 13, 1927, in Elkhart to Harvey and Mildred (Wilhelm) Wise and he married Joey Buehler on July 5, 1959.

She survives along with a daughter, Valerie (Tom) Thomas of Livingston, Texas; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marge (Gary) Cripe of Ocala, Fla., and Marilyn (Ron) Ball of Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Everett; seven brothers; and one sister.

Wayne was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired self-employed contractor.

No visitation or services are scheduled.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart.
