Sprenger Health Care of Mishawaka, a new rehabilitation and assisted living care center, has announced the hiring of several key management positions in preparation for its opening in December.

Jim May joins the care center as administrator, with more than 35 years of rehabilitation, assisted living and long-term care experience. May previously served as the Vice President of Operations for a skilled nursing facility as well as executive director of a hospital system–owned continuous care residential community. He is responsible for managing Sprenger Health Care of Mishawaka’s day-to-day functions.

Kathleen Murphy is marketing director and case manager, focusing on building relationships with the professional health care community to include regional physicians and hospital personnel. She will also conduct on-site assessments of discharging hospital patients. Murphy has extensive health care sector marketing and sales expertise in in-vitro diagnostics, life science and home health care.

Chad Knisley, admissions director, will focus on community relations and admissions to the rehabilitation and skilled nursing care center as well as manage tours and the admissions process for the assisted living suites. Knisley has more than five years of health care experience, most recently serving as assistant administrator at a regional health care center.

Sprenger Health Care of Mishawaka is currently accepting applications and deposits for its assisted living suites. There are no entrance, endowment or community fees. Sprenger anticipates serving discharged hospital patients requiring continued skilled nursing care and therapy from areas including Plymouth, Bremen, Granger, Elkhart, Wyatt, Lakeville, South Bend and Mishawaka.
