BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. — Valentina N. Galli and Alton J. “AJ” Rodino married on July 6, 2012, at St. Mary’s in Buffalo Grove by the Rev. Denis Carneiro.

The bride’s parents are Mauro and Patricia Galli of Buffalo Grove. The groom’s parents are Nancy and the late William O’Hara of Edwardsburg, Mich., and AJ and Dawn Rodino of Elkhart, Ind.

Tatiana Galli, the bride’s sister of Buffalo Grove, was maid of honor. Gina Imperial of Chicago, Sammie Sachs of San Francisco, Calif., Katie Hagedorn of Nashville, Tenn., Caty Werner of Barrington and Natalia Amidei, the bride’s cousin of Wadsworth, were bridesmaids. Carmen Cantzler, the groom’s niece of Elkhart, and Lexi Rosenthal of Sheridan were flower girls.

Ted Soenksen of Mundelein was best man. Jim Werner of Barrington, Nick Waite of Nashville, Rocky Linder of Grayslake, Juan Martinez of Houston, Texas, and Nick Amidei, the bride’s cousin of Wadsworth, were groomsmen. Cole Brownewell, the groom’s nephew of Elkhart, and Levi Rosenthal of Sheridan were ring bearers.

Matt Petersen of Noblesville, Ind., and Ryan Petersen and Geoff Rambow, both of Indianapolis were ushers.

The reception immediately followed the ceremony at Lincolnshire Mariott Resort in Lincolnshire.

The couple went on a three- week trip traveling Italy, including a stop in Pievepelago to celebrate with the bride’s family who could not attend the wedding.

The bride and groom met while attending Lake Forest College. The proposal was made last summer on the day the couple closed on their home in Highwood. After walking through the door for the first time as home- owner, the groom got down on one knee and proposed.
