NEW PARIS — Smart LLC d/b/a Smart Cabinetry is planning on investing $11.4 million to renovate and equip its New Paris facility and create up to 75 new jobs by 2016.

The facility is 169,000 square-feet. The company will add new kitchen cabinet manufacturing, finishing and assembly lines by 2015 to the building.

The company currently employs more than 100 people in Indiana and will continue to hire associates in manufacturing, engineering, administration and information technology positions on an ongoing basis.

This is the second manufacturer to announce plans to expand and create jobs in Elkhart County today, Dec. 7. Indiana Galvanizing, LLC, announced earlier Friday morning that it is planning to locate to Middlebury.
