Middlebury Town Council

Key action: Approved an ordinance allowing the town to invest for a longer term, in keeping with new state regulations that allow municipalities to invest for longer periods of time to get a better interest rate. The ordinance allows the town to have up to 25% of its total investments longer than two years and up to five years, and designates the town clerk-treasurer as the investment officer. The ordinance is a four year term ordinance.

Other actions:

Approved December 24 and December 31, 2012 as additional holidays for town employees. Approved the 2013 council meeting schedule and recognized holidays.
