Goshen College students win top prize at business convention

A team of business students from Goshen College won the top prize at the Mennonite Economic Development Associates’ Business as a Calling convention, held Nov. 1-4 in Waterloo, Ontario.

Clayton Miller, Hans Weaver and Kristina Lopienski, all senior business majors, competed against seven student teams in the Student Case competition to develop a business plan for Winterfeld Greenbau Construction Company.

The group took first place in a close finish against Bluffton University. Miller is a resident of Goshen, Lopienski is a resident of Bartlett, Ill. and Weaver is a resident of New Holland, Pa.
