GOSHEN — The Elkhart County Board of Commissioners has readopted federal guidelines that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Through the legislation, the county pledges that all new design and construction projects will be easily accessible for people with disabilities. This includes all projects in the public right-of-way, like crosswalks, sidewalks and curb ramps. A resolution was signed by the three county commissioners Monday morning.
