Goshen man: He isnt the one found guilty of child molestation
Timothy C.L. Hyser of Goshen said he and his wife have been receiving inquiries, wondering about the connection to Tim L. Hyser.
“People I know have made comments,” said Timothy C.L. Hyser. “They’ve asked my wife about it.”
Generally, he’s been able to avoid misunderstandings and clarify that he’s not the man found guilty on the child molestation charges. But he wants to make sure others know as well — Tim L. Hyser is someone else — and don’t jump to the wrong conclusions. “I’m trying to prevent a disaster,” Timothy C.L. Hyser said.
A jury found Tim L. Hyser, 54, guilty of molesting a child he was babysitting. He faces up to 58 years of prison when sentenced on Dec. 27.
The two Hysers are cousins, but Timothy C.L. Hyser, who’s 49, isn’t even sure if he’s met the other man. Timothy C.L. Hyser, who’s retired from the U.S. Air Force, learned Tim L. Hyser had been found guilty on Monday.
