MIDDLEBURY — John D. Graber, 78, of Middlebury, died Saturday evening, Dec. 1, at Cleveland (Ohio) Clinic.
He was born July 12, 1934, to the late Daniel and Katie (Hostetler) Graber in LaGrange County. On June 17, 1956, he married Betty Gingerich in LaGrange County.
Survivors include his wife; children Rhonda (Allen) Falls of Middlebury, and Jeanie (Kevin) Koch and Darryl (Crystal) Graber, both of Goshen; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one stepgrandson; one great-stepgrandson; and sisters Anna Lambright of LaGrange and Fannie Mast of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Levi, Sam, Melvin, Milo and Tobe Graber, Lizzie Schrock and Ada Nisley.
He was owner-operator of Graber Well Drilling since 1983. He enjoyed coon hunting, snowmobiling and fishing.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at First Mennonite Church, Middlebury. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury.
