BRISTOL — A community event for potential volunteers and donors for Lemonade Day 2013 is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 at Elcona Country Club, 56784 C.R. 21, Bristol.

The event is an opportunity for community members and business leaders to learn more about the event, which started in 2013. Information on partnership, sponsorship and volunteer opportunities will be provided during the event.

Lemonade Day debuted in Elkhart in May and is part of a national initiative to help kids feed their interests in running a business. The first Lemonade Day featured 500 lemonade stands throughout the area.

For the May 2013 event, the Elkhart County Lemonade Day Executive Board is hoping to expand to 1,500 stands throughout Elkhart County, including stands at Goshen schools.
