They were married Nov. 14, 1987, at Northside Baptist Church.
They are celebrating with a cruise in the Carribean.
Mr. Bates is the former owner of DMB Custom Carpentry and is the owner of Bulldog Towing.
Mrs. Bates is a former CPA and is now co-owner of Bulldog Towing.
Their children are Alyssa and Stephanie Bates of Elkhart, both currently attending Indiana University’s nursing school.
