ELKHART — ADEC Inc. is on the move.

A pair of the nonprofit group’s services relocated Nov. 19 to a larger space just a few blocks away from their original office at 516 S. Main St. in downtown Elkhart. The organization provides programs to more than 1,000 adults and children with disabilities in Elkhart County. ADEC’s employment and visual impairment divisions are now housed in a roomier 11,000 square foot office at 317 S. Main St. across from Civic Plaza. But the move is not over yet.

Two more ADEC divisions will be joining them. Family services, which hosts after school programs and summer day camps for kids, and the adult habilitation program, which focuses on vocational activities, will be leaving the second floor of the YMCA of Elkhart County in mid December. The move will give both programs a little more room to breathe as well as a ground floor location that is easier for disabled clients to access.
