Elkhart man pleads guilty to dealing in meth

An Elkhart man pleaded guilty to dealing in methamphetamine Thursday at the Elkhart County Circuit Court.

Richard Mullenix, 48, of 917 W. Franklin St., Elkhart, filed his plea, in which he admitted to dealing in meth by manufacturing, a Class B felony, and driving while having a suspended license, a Class A misdemeanor. A third charge, driving while suspended, was dismissed as part of the agreement.

In his plea agreement,which the judge accepted, Mullenix agreed to a sentence of nine years in prison, and three years on reporting probation.

Mullenix was arrested Sept. 18 in his residence on a warrant.
