BAILEY’S BAY, Bermuda — Dr. Lisa Ann Witcher and Jordan Thomas Swanson were married June 23, 2012, on Honeymoon Beach at Bermuda’s Grotto Bay Beach Resort by Pastor Dean Smith.

The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. James Witcher of Bella Vista, Ark. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Swanson of Elkhart, Ind.

Julie Wessen, sister of the bride of Mount Pleasant, S.C., was the matron of honor.

J.P. Miller of Cincinnati was the best man.

The bride wore a jeweled brooch in her hair that belonged to her godmother. The bride borrowed from her mother an heirloom ivory handkerchief with edges crocheted by her grandmother and wore a pearl bracelet from her father.

The double-ring ceremony was on a private beach by the ocean and the runner was strewn with cedar saplings, as is customary in Bermuda to symbolize the bride and groom’s growing love.

The couple extended their stay in Bermuda for their honeymoon and returned home to Kansas City, Mo.
