Edwardsburg man dies after crashing into tree Thursday morning

CASS COUNTY — An Edwardsburg man was killed in a one-car crash on Conrad Road, south of May Street, early Thursday morning.
Caleb A. Marcin, 29, of Edwardsburg, was driving south on Conrad Road at a high rate of speed when his vehicle left the road and hit a tree at 1:50 a.m., according to Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police.
The report stated that Marcin was wearing a seat belt and the vehicle’s airbags deployed. It also said that alcohol was involved in the crash.
No other passengers were in the vehicle.
The crash is under investigation by the Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police.
