MISHAWAKA — Penn High School senior Conner Sowders has signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and track careers next fall at Bethel College.

Besides anchoring the Kingsmen’s state champion 400-meter relay foursome last spring, Sowders won sectional and Northern Indiana Conference titles in the individual 400. His personal best in the 400 is 49.55 seconds.

Sowders joins Penn teammate and state champion relay partner Tommy Grant in choosing Bethel. Grant signed earlier this month.
