They were married Nov. 24, 1962, at New Paris Missionary Church by Pastor Lester Rassi, Mrs. Slaight’s father.
The couple will be celebrating with their family.
Mr. Slaight graduated from Bedford (Iowa) High School. He works part time at Hubbard Hill Estates. Mrs. Slaight graduated from New Paris High School. She retired from Sam’s Mobile Radio on June 15, 2010.
Their children are Julia Slaight, James Ray (Janet) Slaight and Joni (Mike) Cottey, all of Elkhart.
They have eight grandchildren.
