SOUTH BEND — Alexis Martin and Shawn Klose were married on Sept. 1, 2012, at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame by Father Joseph Carey.

Ashley Martin, sister of the bride of Elkhart, was maid of honor. Lisa Garatoni of South Bend, Emily Owens of Elkhart, Kaitlyn Murphy, Emily Rassi and Taylor Klose, daughter of the groom of Elkhart, were bridesmaids.

The groom’s brother, Kelly Klose of Elkhart, was the best man. Anthony Gaipa, Kyle Liddell of Mishawaka, Nathan Yoder of Elkhart and Jared Geiger of Elkhart were groomsmen.

Nicholas Troiola, Kevin Gnivecki and Tyler Jackey, all of South Bend, and Eric Cowdrey of Elkhart were ushers.

The first reception was at Chikaming Country Club in Lakeside, Mich., and the main reception was at the bride’s parents home on Lake Michigan.

The groom proposed to the bride while collecting seashells on a vacation in Costa Rica.
