The Elkhart Center for Community Justice will have an open house during Restorative Justice week for anyone interested in how its implemented in the Elkhart community.

Restorative Justice is an approach to justice that focuses on offenders and victims, as well as the affected community, according to a press release. This approach gives offenders an opportunity to give back through apology, restitution and community service; it also offers victims a space in which to voice their needs and hopes.

The open house will be next week on Monday and Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at 121 S. Third St. The center will have cookies and hot chocolate for those who stop by to learn more about its programs.
