Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services is offering an advanced cardiac life support recertification course from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elkhart General Hospital Health Education Center, 2222 Rieth Blvd.

The one-day course is designed for those who have completed the ACLS course yet have an expired card or one due to expire. Participants must be competent in managing the 10 core cases with ACLS algorithms.

The program is intended for physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, advanced level EMS providers and any healthcare provider responsible for emergency cardiac care.
