LAPORTE — Area high school students are invited to compete in the 76th annual American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program.

The contest, which will allow students to compete for scholarships at district, zone, state and national levels, requires each contestant to give orations on phases of the United States Constitution. District competition will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 6 at LaPorte High School.
