GOSHEN — A man is now in fair condition after he was injured Friday in an accident near the Goshen Municipal Airport.

Police responded to the intersection of U.S. 33 and C.R. 42 around 9 p.m. Juan Najera, 50, of Syracuse, was flown with back pain to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He had been listed in serious condition Saturday, but is now in fair condition as of Monday.

According to an accident report, Dylan White, 19, of New Paris, was driving westbound on C.R. 42 when he disregarded a stop sign, striking a northbound pickup truck driven by Najera. The collision caused Najera’s truck to spin. His vehicle hit Ricky Bryant, 50, of New Paris, who was also driving a pickup truck.

Bryant and a passenger in his vehicle, Angel Bryant, were taken to IU Health Goshen Hospital, where they were treated and released.

White was not injured in the accident. He was issued a ticket for disregarding a stop sign.
