MIDDLEBURY – Jeff Peterman has been hired as marketing director for A Good Neighbor Heating and Cooling.
Elkhart County Historical Museum
ELKHART – Patrick McGuire has been hired as curator of education at Elkhart County Historical Museum. He will be responsible for managing the museum’s educational offerings for all ages and will work with the Elkhart County Historical Society to develop programs, events and exhibits that interpret cultural resources within the county. McGuire received a history degree from Monmouth College and a graduate degree in historical administration from Eastern Illinois University.
Goshen Chamber of Commerce
GOSHEN – Nick Kieffer has been named to the Winter Institute Board of Regents of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management. He will implement policies created by the institute’s National Board of Trustees and will serve for up to two years as one of 65 members selected from across the country. Kieffer is vice president of the Goshen Chamber of Commerce.
Oaklawn Psychiatric Center
ELKHART – Oaklawn Psychiatric Center has announced the following hires at their South Bend and Elkhart locations:
• Dr. Michael Platt will specialize in post traumatic stress disorder, mood disorder, psychotic disorder and in working with the seriously mentally ill at Oaklawn’s South Bend and Elkhart offices. He received his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
• Dr. Roohi Bano Sualeh will specialize in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder at Oaklawn’s South Bend office. She received her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Pakistan and completed a psychiatric residency at Michigan State University.
Ruoff Home Mortgage
FORT WAYNE – Rich Enfield has been named top loan originator for the month of October at Ruoff Home Mortgage’s Elkhart office. This honor is awarded each month based on the highest number of closed loans. Enfield also received the top producer honors for the month of August. He has more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
Southwestern Michigan College
DOWAGIAC – Thomas Atkinson has been appointed chief of staff at Southwestern Michigan College and will begin his duties in July of 2013. He currently serves as director of public safety for the city of Dowagiac. In his new position, Atkinson will be responsible for safety and security and will provide internal coordination and communication in support of the college’s strategic plan. Atkinson is a graduate of Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Bethel College. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and Northwestern University’s School of staff and command. Atkinson has more than 40 years of experience in law enforcement and 25 years of experience in executive administration.
