With its triple overtime win over Pittsburgh Saturday night, the Notre Dame football team clings to its No. 4 ranking in the latest Associated Press college football poll.
Notre Dame rounds out a quartet of 9-0 teams at the top of the rankings: Alabama, Oregon and Kansas State are ahead of the Irish in Sunday morning’s poll. About 100 points behind the Irish, 8-1 Georgia and 10-0 Ohio State are tied for the No. 5 position.
Notre Dame’s next two opponents, Boston College and Wake Forest, are not ranked, but Southern California, which suffered a shootout loss to Pac-12 foe Oregon Saturday night, comes in at No. 21 in the latest rankings.
