BRISTOL — A man was flown to the hospital from an accident west of Bristol Thursday morning.

Police responded around 7:40 a.m. to the intersection of S.R. 120 and Michael Drive. Stephen Deihl, 52, of Osceola, was driving on a motorcycle east on S.R. 120 when Eleanor Kennedy, 66, of Elkhart, pulled onto S.R. 120 from Michael Drive.

Kennedy said she was did not see Deihl when she attempted to complete her turn.

Deihl was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with injuries to the side of his body and his head. He was listed in good condition as of Thursday afternoon.

The Elkhart County Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.
