The couple married on Oct. 23, 1982, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Elkhart. They celebrated with a trip to Las Vegas.
Mr. Carpenter is a letter carrier at the Elkhart Post Office and Mrs. Carpenter is a receptionist at the Elkhart Clinic.
Their children are Lindsey and Korey Carpenter, both of Elkhart.
