GOSHEN — September’s RV shipments continued to improve over last year, according to the September RV Market Report issued Friday.

The report by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association showed that the 18,976 RVs shipped to retailers in September were 12.7 percent higher than the previous September, according to Bill Baker, senior director of communications for the RVIA.

So far this year, retailers received 221,281 RVs, up 10.7 percent over the same point in 2011.

The only segment in the RV market to drop over last year is folding camping trailers, according to Baker.

In September, towable RV shipments were up 10.3 percent from September 2011, and motorhome shipments were up 34.6 percent, the report showed.
