Betty Kauffman, 79, of Goshen, was driving a sedan south on C.R. 22 when the boy entered the roadway from the south side around 1:32 p.m. today, Oct. 25, according to Patrolman Matthew Walsh of the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
The boy had abrasions and reported loss of consciousness, but his injuries were non-life-threatening.
Kauffman’s car sustained minor front-end damage.
