SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Roland Harvey Amsden, 73, formerly of Goshen, Ind., died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012.

He was born March 31, 1939, to Carl Daniel and Etta Marie (Metzer) Amsden.

Surviving are a daughter, Beckie Klitsch; a son, Dan; six grandchildren; two brothers, Jim (Julie) Amsden of Florrissant, Mo., and Jack (Linda) Amsden of Goshen; and three sisters, Helen (Ben) Games of Ellenton, Fla., Martha Phillips of Kannapolis, N.C., and Karletta (William) Skaggs of Goshen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Carl Jr., Russell, Billy, Robert and Richard; and three sisters, Mariam Fryer, Betty Boone and Dorothy Amsden.

Roland served in the U.S. Army for 18 years.

He was also a carpenter.

A memorial service will be in Lake Tahoe following cremation.

Local arrangements were handled by Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
