Police serve warrant in Dunlap man’s homicide investigation

BRISTOL — Police searched a house on Dorris Street in Bristol in reference to the investigation on Mark Miller’s death, confirmed Lt. Travis Adamson, public information officer with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

The Elkhart County Emergency Service Unit served a “no knock” search warrant at the Bristol home.

“There have been no arrests, but is was in regards to the Mark Miller homicide case and as of now there is an ongoing investigation,” he said in a statement.

Miller, 44, was living in Dunlap before he went missing. He was last seen in his tattoo shop Sept. 7.

Miller’s body was found inside a barrel on St. Joseph River near the Six Span Bridge.

Sheila Miller, Mark Miller’s mother, said she has been in constant communication with police.

“I’m not allowed to say anything about it at this time,” said Sheila Miller, Mark Miller’s mother, in reference to the ongoing investigation.
