MIDDLEBURY — Mini Golf at the Library is back. You can putt a round of 18 holes inside the Middlebury Community Public Library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

“Last fall’s Mini Golf at the Library was so well-received that the Middlebury Community Enrichment Council (MCEC) is making it an annual event,” said Richard Smith of the MCEC.

What is it like to play mini golf in the library?

“The holes are laid out in the aisles of the library, and each hole sponsor decorates their hole differently. For example, last year a credit union had you bank a shot off a phony bag of money, and Hawkins Water had pipes and part of a water softener that you had to navigate your ball through,” said Smith.

MCEC is comprised of the Friends of the Middlebury Community Public Library, the Friends of Middlebury Parks and the Middlebury Community Historical Museum.

“These organizations all play a large role in making Middlebury a special place to live, because they enhance the quality of life in our community,” said Smith.

Money raised at the event is divided equally among the member organizations and used for programs that otherwise might not be funded.

A round of mini golf is $5 for adults and teens, and $3 for kids 12 and younger.
