They married on Oct. 13, 1962, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
On Oct. 27, 2012, they will renew their vows. An open house following the vow renewal ceremony has been planned by their children, Susan Michelle “Shelley” (Christopher) Rody, Eric Pringle and Rebecca Pringle, all of Elkhart, and Karen (David) Lindsay of Sturgis, Mich.
